Goodbye Gymbo

Today was our last Gymboree class :( We said goodbye to Gymbo as I think the girls want to move on to new things. I might enroll them in swim classes again and have more playdates. We'll just roll with whatever comes our way.

Although the girls are too young to understand the true meaning of "goodbye", they will know when they get older that this week was a true lost for the entertainment industry as we say goodbye to the King of Pop - Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, Ed McMahon, and Billy Mays.

The heat hit triple digits (at least on the Sienna temperature gauge at the border of Dublin and Pleasanton). We kept cool by going to the mall and before that taking a long nap! When we got home from the mall mommy let us play with our drums (we make daddy proud) and crayons before we "nene".

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day!

After Gymboree class we took daddy to a restaurant in Hayward called Emil Villa's BBQ and had a blast. The family that owned the place was very friendly to us and the other staff was friendly too! The food was great to boot, so we think mommy and daddy will take us there again. Although we snacked in the car on our way over to the restaurant on some Nemo fruit gummies and gold fish, we still managed to eat some of daddy's crackers (from his soup), mommy's omlet which was made of spinach, onions, cheese, and sausage, mashed potatoes, and daddy's bread and ribs. Yum yum!

Later we went to the Hayward hills park with Emi, but it was so crowded mommy made us leave early. We ate up all our wonton soup for dinner which in turn daddy treated us to our all-time favorite movie before bed.....FINDING NEMO!!!

The waitress gave the girls their own small cup of water. Sophie decides she wants to play with the straw.

Hannah wanted water too from the straw, because she didn't get a cup yet.

Temples and Tricycles

Today we skipped Gymboree, because mommy was too excited to get us a Kettler tricycle. She's been researching and trying to get us one off of Craigslist for a while now. So when a seller contacted her to go to their garage sale today, she jumped at the chance to get one for us and thus she did and bought some other stuff for us. It was a good thing daddy drove away she would've bought more, those moving sales are just way too good in a good neighborhood. Then we rushed over to the Thai temple and ate an early lunch which was really yummy.

Later after a good nap we met up with the Yabut's and Ko's to test out our new tricycle and have some good fun at the park.

Buddhanusorn Thai Temple in Union City/Fremont border for some Thai food for lunch. Auntie Flo and Uncle Ray introduced us to this place.

Lauren and Hannah watch the water fountain....literally.

Hannah enjoyed the bbq pork, chicken, sticky rice, and mango dessert...can someone say growth spurt? YUMMY!

Sophie stuck to daddy and unfortunately mommy didn't take as many pics of her :(, but Sophie did smile at mommy in the car :)

The girls enjoying the tricycle mommy picked up for them.

Sporting some fun sunglasses which Auntie Kelly gave to them :P

Sophie loves swinging and spent a good amount of time on it at the Union City Park.

Sophie for some reason was really into the tan bark and got all dirty.

A New Friend Soon

Today we went to Kelly's baby shower in South San Francisco. The girls enjoyed socializing with everyone and really loved Kelly's dog Peachy. Along the way back we stopped by Talbot's (a toy store in San Mateo where everyone seemed to suggest to check out) to see if Sophie would be able to ride a Kettler tricycle and she did (so mommy will research to find a deal on one). We did picked up some toys, mommy couldn't resist :P

Zoo and Birthday celebration

We had a playdate at the Oakland zoo where we met up with Mark, Berry, Eamon and their friend Sarah, Joe, Dawn, Jonas, Eric, Liz, and Lauren. We had a blast and the weather was perfect. We later had dim sum at our favorite dim sum restaurant with Eamon and his crew. Later we went to celebrate Auntie Liz's birthday at Uncle Eric's parents' house. It was a very fun and exciting day!
