The twins and I had a busy day today. We started the day checking out a daycare in Sunnyvale. This daycare is closer to my workplace and would probably work better in terms of convenience, however I'm still not absolutely settled in picking this as "the" childcare service I want for the girls, at least not yet. I don't know what would ease my worries, so I continue to look at more options. I do think that this daycare and the one in Hayward are pretty good.
Hannah has been having troubles with her right eye lately, she tears up and has mucus. Last night it started to get worse and by today her eye was sealed shut, so Der called in for an immediate appointment. Immediate in terms of doctor time was not so immediate, so to kill time and not waste gas we hung out at daddy's workplace, ate lunch with daddy, and visited my ex-co-workers across the street at Align. It felt nice to be some where other than being at home, but the poor babies were kind of couped up in the car seats for a while.
Hannah did not like the doctor visit today, she let me and the doctor (a stand in doctor not her usual doc) know how she uses those lungs of hers and sounding pretty close to the volume of what Sophie sounds like. Apparently Hannah has small tear ducts (probably due to not being fully developed), so what this means is that her tears are not flowing through to the nose cavity which in turn backs up, causing some viral infection. So we got some antibiotic eye drops to remedy the crazy gunk in her eye and I need to put a warm compress and massage the area between the eye to the nose. Poor baby!!! Actually it doesn't hurt her, but it looks mighty irritating in my opinion.
Before heading home from the doc's the girls decided to play "Let's cry in stereo while mom drives", so instead of hearing cries of hungry little beasts for 45 mins+. We made a pit stop at Der's workplace for a quick feeding. Alas the girls and I arrived home at 5:30 p.m. just in time to take Emi for a walk.
Whew what a day and the night is not over!
